Newton, PA: How good is Holy Ghost Prep's '22 Golfer Calen Sanderson?
The recent graduate has been playing since he was eight years old and has become one of the best golfers in the country in his age group. Sanderson won the PIAA AAA individual state title as a sophomore and has since gone on to bigger and better things outside of school as well.
Here is a short list of those achievements:

Sanderson has shot a 66 on three occasions and will continue getting better as he gets stronger and older.
Academically, Sanderson may be more impressive than his golf achievements. He has a 4.375 GPA and took seven AP classes, which means he might be more than a semester done with his college work.
That resume has allowed Sanderson to attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall, one of the world's most prestigious higher learning institutions. He will play golf in the ACC, which is the best conference in the country.
So yeah, he is pretty good.
Here is what a coach said about Sanderson:
"Firstly, he is a rocket scientist off the course. If you talk to him, he is one of the best people I have been around. He was the captain for three years, which means that he had the respect of his teammates as a sophomore. That does not happen with a lot of kids.
"His play is lights-out. I have talked to him after a round where he did not have his best stuff, and he will come back to the clubhouse at one-under-par. When he is on, he is just a machine: fairway, green, one-putt birdie. He is going to be very good at Notre Dame."
